What the X feed shows first
A standard post shows in full. Longer posts from Premium accounts fold at about 280 characters behind Show more, and up to four images sit under the text, cropped to fit the timeline.
Frequently asked questions
Where does X cut off a long post?
At about 280 characters, behind Show more. Put the point of the post before that, because most readers decide from the first lines.
Is the preview exact?
Close, not pixel perfect. X sets its own fonts and widths per device, so the cut can move by a few words between phones.
Is my text or image uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is sent to Distinctful or stored.
