Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026
Distinctful LLC (“Distinctful,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of the people who trust us with their content operation. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.
Scope
This policy applies to the Distinctful website, application, support channels, integrations, and related services. It does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, or services that you connect to Distinctful or access through external links.
When you connect a third-party platform, that provider's privacy policy and terms also apply to your relationship with that provider.
What we collect
Account information
We collect account details such as your email address, name, profile information, authentication identifiers, plan status, billing status, settings, and support preferences.
Content and business data
We store the information you put into Distinctful, including ideas, drafts, posts, calendars, lists, offers, notes, metadata, audience records, attribution signals, and other business context you choose to manage in the platform.
Connected platform data
When you connect a platform through OAuth or another approved authorization method, we collect the account identifiers, tokens, scopes, publication records, subscriber data, post data, engagement metrics, commerce events, and other information needed to provide the integration you enabled.
We request permissions based on the integration's purpose. For read-only analytics integrations, we use the connected data to sync and analyze performance. For publishing integrations, we only publish or modify content when you take an action or configure a workflow that requires it.
Payment and billing data
Payment details are processed by Stripe or another payment processor. We receive billing status, subscription records, invoice metadata, payment outcome information, and limited customer identifiers. We do not store full payment card numbers.
Product analytics, logs, and device data
We collect product usage events, page views, feature interactions, device and browser details, IP-derived metadata, diagnostic logs, error reports, performance data, and security events. We use this data to operate, secure, debug, and improve Distinctful.
Communications
If you contact us, join a waitlist, request support, respond to an email, or participate in customer research, we collect the information you provide and the related communication history.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share your email address with third parties for their own marketing.
- We do not use advertising network tracking pixels to build ad profiles.
- We do not ask users to share third-party platform passwords.
- We do not publish to a connected account unless you authorize the action or configure a workflow that requires it.
- We do not use private customer content to train third-party foundation models unless you expressly authorize a feature or agreement that says otherwise.
How we use information
We use information to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Distinctful; authenticate users; sync connected platforms; process billing; personalize product surfaces; generate analytics and recommendations; respond to support requests; prevent abuse; enforce terms; comply with law; and communicate about the Service.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product usage, improve reliability, develop new features, and explain market-level trends. We do not use aggregated reporting to identify individual customers.
How we share information
We share information only where needed to operate the business and the Service:
- with infrastructure, database, hosting, analytics, email, error monitoring, payment, and support providers that process data for Distinctful;
- with third-party platforms you choose to connect, within the permissions and workflows you authorize;
- with professional advisors, auditors, or service providers under confidentiality obligations;
- to comply with law, legal process, security obligations, or enforceable government requests;
- to investigate abuse, protect rights and safety, prevent fraud, or secure the Service;
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
Core service providers may include Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, PostHog, Sentry, Resend, Redis or queue infrastructure providers, and the platform providers you connect.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, preferences, product analytics, and performance measurement. We do not use advertising cookies from ad networks.
Browser settings may let you block or delete cookies. Some essential product functions may not work if authentication or security cookies are disabled.
AI-assisted features
Distinctful may include AI-assisted features that summarize, classify, draft, or analyze your content operation. When you use those features, relevant prompts, source context, outputs, and usage metadata may be processed by Distinctful and approved AI infrastructure providers to deliver the requested feature.
We design AI features to support your decisions, not replace them. You are responsible for reviewing generated output before using it publicly or commercially.
Data security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect customer data, including HTTPS/TLS in transit, encryption for sensitive connected-platform tokens, access controls, logging, provider-scoped authorization, and security review in development workflows.
No internet service can guarantee perfect security. Our security posture is described in more detail on the Security page.
Retention and deletion
We keep account, content, integration, billing, and operational data for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
When you delete your account or request deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data within a commercially reasonable period, subject to legal, billing, backup, fraud-prevention, security, and audit requirements. Connected platform tokens are deleted or invalidated when you disconnect the provider or delete your account.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or opt out of certain sharing.
You can manage many choices directly in Distinctful, including disconnecting integrations, updating account settings, canceling billing, and deleting account data where supported. You can also contact us at privacy@distinctful.com.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights required by law.
Children
Distinctful is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
International use
Distinctful is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product, providers, laws, and business operations evolve. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you through the product, by email, or by updating this page.
