Privacy Policy

Distinctful (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We've written this in plain language because we believe privacy policies should be readable.
What we collect
Waitlist signups
When you join our waitlist, we collect your email address. That's it. We use it to notify you when Distinctful launches and to send occasional updates about our progress.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how people use our website. This includes page views, general interaction patterns, and basic device information (browser type, screen size). We use this data to improve the experience, not to build advertising profiles.
Standard web data
Like every website, our servers automatically receive your IP address, browser type, and referring page when you visit. This is standard infrastructure, not surveillance.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.
We don't share your email with third parties for marketing purposes.
We don't use tracking pixels from ad networks.
We don't build profiles to serve you targeted advertising.
Cookies
We use functional cookies for analytics (PostHog) to understand how our site is used. We don't use advertising cookies. When Distinctful launches, we'll use authentication cookies to keep you logged in — standard functionality, nothing more.
Third-party services
PostHog — Product analytics. Helps us understand which pages people visit and how they interact with the site. PostHog can be configured to process data in the EU or US.
Supabase — Database and authentication infrastructure. Stores your waitlist email securely.
Vercel — Hosting and deployment. Serves the website and processes requests.
Your rights
Delete your data. Want off the waitlist? Email us and we'll remove your information permanently.
Access your data. Want to know what we have? Ask and we'll tell you. It's just your email.
Opt out of analytics. Most browsers support Do Not Track. We respect it.
Data retention
Waitlist emails are stored until you ask us to remove them or until you convert to a full account after launch. Analytics data is retained according to PostHog's standard retention policies.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes, we'll update this page and the date above. For major changes that affect your data, we'll notify waitlist subscribers by email.
