What the LinkedIn feed shows first
LinkedIn folds a post behind ...see more after about 210 characters or three lines, whichever comes first. Images and documents sit under the text, so the words above the fold decide whether anyone opens the rest.
Frequently asked questions
How many characters show before see more on LinkedIn?
About 210, or the first three lines if they come first. On narrow phones the cut can come a few words earlier.
Is the preview exact?
Close, not pixel perfect. LinkedIn sets its own fonts and widths per device, so the cut can move by a few words between phones.
Is my text or image uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs in your browser. Nothing you type or choose is sent to Distinctful or stored.
