Signup form
A form that lets someone subscribe to a newsletter by submitting an email address and any required preferences.
A newsletter signup form connects a publication promise to a subscription action. It usually asks for an email address, explains what the reader will receive, and provides a clear submit button. Additional fields should serve a real purpose, such as choosing a topic or delivery frequency.
Instead of an unlabeled email box, a design newsletter could offer: Get one interface teardown every Tuesday. The confirmation state should explain whether the reader is already subscribed or needs to check their inbox for a confirmation link.
A submitted form and an active subscriber are not always the same event. Double opt-in, invalid addresses, and existing subscriptions can affect the result. Measure the complete signup path when evaluating how well a form works.
