Landing page

A web page built around a specific audience and action, such as joining a newsletter or registering for a webinar.

In marketing, a landing page gives visitors a focused destination for a campaign. For newsletter growth, it explains who the publication is for, what readers receive, and why they might subscribe. It can include a sample edition, publishing frequency, and signup form.

A social post about a weekly freelance pricing lesson can link to a page with that same promise. Readers should not have to search through an unrelated homepage to find the lesson or signup.

Landing-page conversion rate compares completed actions with an identified visitor or session count. Keep the traffic source and measurement period consistent when comparing versions. A focused page can help visitors decide, but no layout guarantees a higher conversion rate.
