Kit integration help

Connect Kit to Distinctful

Keep Kit as your newsletter source of truth while Distinctful brings supported reader and email-performance signals beside your content and offers.

Connect your Kit account

  1. 1.In Distinctful, open Settings and choose Integrations.
  2. 2.Select Kit, sign in to the Kit account you want to connect, and approve access.
  3. 3.Return to Distinctful and wait for the first import to finish before opening Newsletter or Subscribers.

When installing from the Kit App Store, begin from Kit's Install action so Kit can record the installation before returning you to Distinctful.

What the connection reads

  • Subscriber profiles, subscription status, tags, and attribution reported by Kit.
  • Newsletter broadcasts and available open and click performance.
  • List growth derived from subscriber sign-up and cancellation dates.

The deployed integration is read-only. Distinctful does not send broadcasts, edit subscribers, apply tags, or delete data in Kit.

First import and ongoing sync

After authorization, Settings shows the Kit account as authorized while the first import runs. It changes to connected when that import completes.

A new Kit account with zero subscribers is supported. Distinctful shows an empty state until subscribers or broadcasts exist. Larger accounts can take longer, and available history depends on what the Kit API returns.

Use Sync in Settings → Integrations to request a refresh. If Kit requires new permission or the token expires, Distinctful shows a reconnect action.

Troubleshooting

  • Confirm you authorized the intended Kit account.
  • Wait for the first import to finish before reconnecting.
  • Refresh Settings if the browser still shows an older status.
  • Use Reconnect only when Distinctful says the connection needs action.

Include the Kit account name and the time of the failed attempt when contacting support. Never email an OAuth token, API key, or password.

Disconnect Kit

In Settings → Integrations, find Kit and choose Disconnect. Distinctful stops future Kit syncs and removes its stored authorization. Disconnecting does not delete subscribers, broadcasts, or settings in Kit.

Plans, privacy, and support

Kit can be connected on every paid Distinctful plan and during an eligible trial. Distinctful capacity follows your plan; source coverage follows the data and API access available in your Kit account.
