What is Engagement rate?
Interactions divided by reach or followers. It signals whether content resonated, not whether it sold anything.
Engagement rate is interactions, such as likes, comments, shares, and saves, divided by either reach or followers. Platforms and tools disagree on the denominator, so the same post can carry two different rates depending on who measured it.
Engagement tells you a post resonated with the audience the algorithm chose to show it to. It does not tell you the post grew your list or sold anything. Treat it as a signal about material worth repeating, and pair it with subscriber and revenue movement before calling a post a success.
