Attribution
Connecting a sale or signup to the content that influenced it, so you know which work is doing the earning.
Attribution is the practice of connecting an outcome, such as a sale or a newsletter signup, to the content that influenced it. Ad platforms build entire pixel and tracking infrastructures around it. For a solo operation, that machinery mostly does not exist, and the honest version is narrower: reviewing your content activity and your checkout facts side by side and drawing careful conclusions.
Perfect attribution is not achievable for most audience businesses. A reader might see five posts, click none of them, and buy two weeks later from a bookmarked link. Treat attribution as evidence for judgment, not as a claim that a specific post made a specific sale.
